Ban blemishes. Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields, the dermatologists who created ProActive Solution, now sell an upscale acne-fighting skincare regimen called Unblemish. The face cleanser ($35 at Marshall Field's) not only smells and feels great, it especially helps those with oily skin through summer's shiny spells.
Grippo suggests another acne fighter for even more stubborn problems on full display during swimsuit season: chest and back acne. Mark, the younger, hipper line of Avon, sells The Body Squad ($7 at Meetmark.com) that battles and prevents breakouts on the chest and neck. Plus, the spray-on Bacne Acne Treatment (also $7 at Meetmark.com) battles breakouts in hard-to-reach spots.
5.Sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen. Any skin expert will tell you the best wrinkle cream is a good sunscreen to prevent sun damage. Grippo likes Shiseido's sun protection liquid foundation that's waterproof, sweat-resistant and contains a sun protection factor of 42. It's $31 at Sephora stores.
Another must is a good lip conditioner with sunscreen. Banana Boat's lip balm with aloe vera and vitamin E has a great tropical scent and has an SPF of 30. Right now, it's on sale for $1.59 at Target. Also, Neutrogena is making it a breeze to protect your whole body from the summer sun. The Neutrogena Fresh Cooling Body Mist with an SPF of 30 sprays on with a cool tingle that's fun to apply. It's $9.14 at Target..
