Vermont Spiritual Garden
The Path of Life Garden celebrates the human soul through the depiction of 18 different garden areas, each a symbol of a different phase of life. Each area utilizes either a natural or manmade sculpture to illustrate a specific time in one’s life. Areas of the Garden include Union, Family and Community. Union is represented by two granite posts linked through the center hole of an old millstone, showing how we can be separate, but still part of a whole. Family is represented by five ancient Druid stones surrounded by Armstrong maple trees – forming a circle that is symbolic of family – whether that is a group of friends or family members to the visitor. It is a place where families and friends can come together and enjoy one another’s company. Community is represented by another larger circle of stones, each signifying the diversity of the larger community. The Path of Life Garden is a place where visitors – individuals and families alike – can experience fun, transformation and relaxation, as well as gain insight into their life’s journey. SHOPS CLOSE BY THE GARDEN: Within walking distance of The Path of Life Garden are various shops for the visitor’s enjoyment. There is so much to see and do, you could easily spend the entire day to include The Harpoon Brewery, Simon Pearce Glass Factory, Simon Pearce Pottery and Still River Kayak Rentals. You can watch glass and pottery being created right before your eyes, enjoy a sandwich with a fresh pint in the Harpoon Beer Garden or rent a kayak and take a surreal trip down the Connecticut River.
OTHER WINDSOR ATTRACTIONS: Only 4 miles from The Path of Life Garden in historic downtown Windsor are three sites that are available for your further enjoyment - The Vermont Constitution House, the longest covered bridge in the United States and the American Precision Museum.
