Vermont Hemlock Maze

The Path of Life Garden tells the story of life through various manmade and natural works of art. It is a celebration of life, nature and sculpture. Following the path through the garden allows the visitor to experience the various phases of life. Over a 14 acre span, a total of 18 different installations illustrate our journey. Among the installations is a Tepee that brings to mind the suffering and sorrow of Native Americans, serving as a reminder of our own personal losses – Sorrow. Another area is that of a calming waterfall and a hammock signifying to us that we need to rest and refresh ourselves along the way – Respite. A third space is that of a grass amphitheatre with a towering driftwood band, a sculpture made from wood salvaged from California’s Russian River - Creativity. The Path of Life Garden is a place for individuals, families and groups to see life’s journey before their eyes. The Garden can be viewed in 30-40 minutes, but we encourage visitors to spend as much time as they would like enjoying the journey. It is meant to be a place for fun, relaxation and transformation. Maps are provided and signposts lead the way.
