Months of Painstaking Woodwork and Precision Crafting Goes Into Each and Every Hacker-Craft built.
Today’s Hacker Boats are better than ever. Despite John Hacker’s revolutionary hull design from the early 20th Century, there was a distinct design flaw. At full power, the bow would rise out of the water so it obstructed the view of the captain. This issue has been resolved without altering the character of the boats, and has in fact enhanced the performance and ride of our vessels. Beyond the modified hull design, the new Hackers are built using the most stringent guidelines and the finest materials. All side and bottom frames are 100% Philippine Mahogany, as is the reinforced keel. The hull bottoms are triple planked with 1” (2,54 cm) of Honduran Mahogany and are bonded with a state-of-the art epoxy encapsulating technique which lends unparalleled strength and resistance to hull flex while at cruising speeds. The sides and decks are constructed of ¾” (1,9 cm) double planked Honduran Mahogany. All hardware and fasteners are made of chrome plated bronze and stainless steel to ensure a durable and beautiful final product. All of these elements combine to provide unrivalled performance, beauty, and luxury. What does it all mean? It means that when you own a Hacker-Craft, you own a piece of the legacy that has continued for one hundred years. Built to last the test of time, a Hacker-Craft is indeed a possession of which you can be proud.
